An artistic adventure where the actors create a show in a few days based on the words of the inhabitants of the town and the stories of the place.
We arrive on Monday and meet all the associations, businesses, trades. We ring doorbells and stop passers-by. For three days, we collect stories, anecdotes, habits and favorite places. These discussions sometimes last hours, depending on the wishes of the residents.
Then, on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, we rehearse a show created from these stories.
On Saturday afternoon or evening, we present for free to the whole city a show for all audiences which explores with humor, generosity and poetry the problems, the past and the desires of this town!
It’s a company’s stopover in a city
The origin of the project:
During the second confinement, we started to imagine shows created in a week. We wondered if people missed theater. As the answer was likely to be “no”, we said to ourselves that we had to get as close as possible to the residents and talk about subjects that matter to them.
The idea is to reduce the distance with the public as much as possible. Come play at their place, for free, at a time that suits them. And without even bringing a subject, we will make a spectacle of their stories, their concerns, their dreams.
